Nothing compares to looking down on the beautiful English countryside from the authentic cockpit of a tiger moth. You're kitted out in goggles and a flying jacket and it could be a summer's day in 1932 as you enjoy this perfect blend of fun and nostalgia.

This programme combines a hands-on tiger moth flying lesson, a thrilling opportunity for a driving lesson in an armoured personnel carrier and a 20 minute flight over Cambridge in a vintage dragon rapide. You will also enjoy a tour of the highlights of this impressive venue.

Duxford is acknowledged as the finest venue for aviation corporate entertainment in the country. It became famous in the Second World War as the base for Douglas Bader's 'Big Wing' flying formations. It now houses the Imperial War Museum's collection of vintage and military aircraft, which is acknowledged as the finest in Europe. Many of these aircraft still fly and it is not unusual to see Spitfires doing an impromptu display over the runway during a corporate event.

All our events are modular and activities can be mixed and matched to suit your individual requirements and budget. Other activities include hovercraft driving, teambuilding challenges, ground search missions and aerobatics lessons or displays. Lunch takes place in the historic Control Tower.

Vintage Aerial Tours
De Havilland Dragon Rapides are delightful 8-seat passenger biplanes from the 1930s. They are now extremely rare, but we have two delightfully restored examples at Duxford. Your guests will 'fly back in time' in one of our Rapides - by enjoying an aerial tour of pure nostalgia over the spires and courtyards of Cambridge. The flight time is approximately 20 minutes.

Tiger Moth Flying Lessons
This is a very popular activity. Guests will be equipped with a leather flying jacket and goggles for a flying lesson in this classic British biplane. After a pre-flight briefing, they will take to the air for a flight in real vintage style. The instructor will talk each guest through the effects of controls and then let them experience for themselves the excitement of flying a genuine 1930s aircraft over the English countryside.

Tank Driving
Each guest will have a thrilling driving lesson in an armoured personnel carrier. The action takes place in Duxford's special military vehicle testing ground. Whilst waiting to drive, guests will be given a tour of the superb tank collection in the Land Warfare Hall - which includes Monty's Command Centre from the Second World War.

Museum Tour
Duxford boasts the finest aviation museum in Europe and our tours of the aircraft are absolutely fascinating. Our experienced tour guide will show guests a selection of some of the most outstanding exhibits - which may include a Spitfire or Avro Lancaster.
